After seven years, the haunting episodic adventure game Kentucky Route Zero is finally complete. The game’s first chapter came out on PC in 2013. Tomorrow’s Act V marks the end of the story. I’m excited to announce Kentucky Route Zero, a magic realist adventure game about a secret highway in Kentucky and the mysterious folks who travel it. This game is currently in development and will be released around the Fall of 2011 (on PC, Mac and possibly other platforms).

Overview
You simply tap or click the background to move around and interact as you follow the story of a truck driver named Conway and the strange people he meets as he tries to cross the fictitious Route Zero in Kentucky to make a final delivery for the antique company for which he works.
There's a lot of text to read and at times it feels like an interactive novel (in a good way). It doesn't have the usual puzzles or challenges of other games and instead focuses on storytelling and atmosphere. You control conversations and can choose the destination of your truck. This doesn't alter the narrative but does affect the texture of interactions and relationships.
It was originally published episodically over a span of years, the TV Edition collects all five acts along with the interludes, which were originally published separately.

Kentucky Route Zero is a game in five acts, made over several years. Although you could originally by acts separately, it's now available for PC and Mac as 'PC Edition' and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox One as 'TV Edition'. These two editions include all five acts as well as the free 'interlude' games we made between episodes.

The mysterious and enigmatic indie series Kentucky Route Zero has brought players a strange and wondrous world over its various acts, and now those looking to experience the series’ end will be able to see it through to its conclusion early next year.
Publisher Annapurna Interactive has announced that the fifth and final Act of Kentucky Route Zero will release in early 2018 on PC, marking the end of the episodic adventure series since it debuted back in January 2013.

In addition to the release of the final episode next year, Annapurna also announced that a console edition of the title will release at the same point next year for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Called Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition Mirror the lost shards download. , the console edition of the game will bring together all five Acts from the episodic series into one collection, along with the various Interludes that bring up the action between each Act.
